Paris Travel Guide for Models & Creatives

Paris isn't just a city — it's a feeling. I've been lucky enough to walk Paris Fashion Week, and every trip teaches me something new about this magical place. If you're a model, creative, or just someone who loves fashion and culture, here's my personal guide to making the most of Paris.

Where to Stay

For Fashion Week, I recommend staying in the Le Marais or Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhoods. Both are walkable to most show venues and have incredible cafés on every corner. If you're on a budget, look into boutique hotels in the 10th or 11th arrondissement — still central, way more affordable, and full of character.

What to Wear on the Streets

Parisian street style is all about effortless chic. Think oversized blazers, tailored trousers, a good trench coat, and comfortable but stylish shoes (you'll be walking everywhere). Skip the sneakers-and-leggings combo — Parisians dress up even for a coffee run.

My go-to Fashion Week outfit formula: a statement coat + monochrome base + one bold accessory. You want to look editorial but still be able to move between shows, castings, and dinners without changing.

Must-Visit Spots

Beyond the obvious (Eiffel Tower, Louvre), check out the Palais de Tokyo for contemporary art, Merci concept store for curated fashion and homeware, and Le Comptoir Général for a cocktail in one of the most unique spaces in the city.

Food That's Worth the Hype

Get a croissant from Du Pain et des Idées (it will change your life). For dinner, try Bouillon Chartier — a stunning historic restaurant with surprisingly affordable French classics. And yes, the crêpes from street vendors near Montmartre are absolutely worth it.

Pro Tips

  • Always carry a portable charger — you'll be on your phone all day
  • Learn a few French phrases — locals appreciate the effort
  • The Métro is your best friend, but walk when you can — the best moments happen on foot
  • Pack layers — Paris weather is unpredictable, especially in March
  • Bring a good tote bag — you'll collect lookbooks, gifts, and goodies at shows
